Happy Independence Day, America!

Happy Birthday to our country ... hope everyone in the USA has an enjoyable and safe holiday! My extended holiday weekend is full of activities with out-of-town family visiting ... so no stitching, but lots and lots of fun scheduled!

I recently completed The Scarlet Letter's  "Sarah Stuart 1798" and she is now in the very talented hands of Jill Rensel. I cannot wait to see what ideas Jill comes up with for the framing!

Here are a few photos of  Miss Sarah ...

Recently I have had many sampler starts, but no sampler finishes ... don't know why ... for one reason or another they just didn't seem like the right project ... so I am especially thrilled to have "Sarah" completed! I've made quite a few adjustments to colors and some motifs, so she is not a true reproduction, but I'm pleased with her and once framed will find a special spot for her to reside in our home.

Not sure what I am starting next ... I'm pretty sure I have it narrowed down to two Scarlet Letter samplers ... will think on it a little longer and make a final decision next week once our guests have gone.

Until then ... hope you all have some stitching time to enjoy. Thank you for stopping by for a visit!

God Bless,
Lanie    xxoo
