Ho! Ho! Ho!

Hi everyone! Happy Christmas Eve!

I finally finished the little Santa for my brother and sister-in-law ... a little too close to the Christmas deadline for my comfort ... but he is done!

Quite the dapper Santa, don't you think?! ... love his button boots ... reminds me of an old-fashioned postcard.

"Merry Christmas" by La-D-Da
DMC fibers (although I changed some of the colors)
32 ct. Belfast "Raw" linen

I do want to stitch him again for my Santa collection!

My new project? ... I joined Nicola's Scarlet Letter Year ... Oh.my.goodness! What am I doing?!  I am definitely out of my league on this one! So many very talented stitchers; so many very beautiful samplers!

My Scarlet Letter wish list is growing by the day, but I'm going to start with "Sarah Stuart 1798". Here she is (image borrowed from the Scarlet Letter website).

We have family from out of town with us through next weekend, so I'm not sure when I'll get her started ... I'll let you know.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas!  I pray that what brings us joy, gives us peace, and surrounds us with love will be ours in the New Year.

God Bless!
Lanie

  4. Thank you Lanie. May the 2013 be the best year ever!

Your Santa is charming but I do not think you'll have time to stitch him again soon. Scarlet Letter charts are so addicting. I never stitch them before and now I'm working on two of them, another three are on their way to me and my wish list is growing...
